Eudora

Summary

Eudora is a rather old POP/IMAP client that has since been set obsolete by Mozilla Thunderbird. You can find the full article on the real Wikipedia here. As some people handle change better than others you may still encounter people using Eudora for their email.

On Mac OS

Eudora 6.2 is the last version available for Mac OS. This has a very apparent "security feature" which prevents it from displaying HTML through the normal interface. Eudora instead opts to display all messages and content as plain text including bare HTML code and on occasion includes the mail header in the message. There is no way to override this default. The user can however go to File > Open in Browser to see the fully rendered HTML.

I would highly recommend getting people still using Eudora moved to the default Apple Mail program.

On Windows

Unlike the Mac OS version, the windows version of Eudora supports rendering HTML. At this time there does not appear to be any special bugs or limits in this version we need to worry about.
